Readers across the world use the free Motion Mountain Physics Texbook. Click here to download the six zipped pdf files (165 MB), with embedded films and animations. The book is now downloaded across the world over 40 000 times a year. Both the English edition and its French translation by Benoît Clénet have been well received by girls, boys, men and women. Since 2010, the downloads from developing countries are more numerous than those from the developed countries. The book has been constantly improved for more than twenty years.
The use of the book by teaching professionals is increasing steadily. Several translations are in work, and a version for the blind is in the making. Several boys and girls, in developing and in developed countries, liked the book so much that they decided to study physics at university.
